Reslution Gel: the Solution
That's where the Reslution Gel comes in . It's environmentally friendly! For most of my cleaning life I didn't know any better- and you could say this soft sided container languished in the cabinet for far too long. I just didn't know what to make of it because I don't own a bong. Maybe that was my first mistake. The second mistake was continuing to use the poisonous ISO for cleaning my stuff! Sitting just to the left of my left elbow is the glass pictured above. In the glass a thick, gelatinous liquid is silently scrubbing away, like little chore girls, in an all-natural method- without fuss or muss, no noxious odors or dangerous fumes. I love to use the famous Genius Pipe when smoking. Unfortunately this stainless steel pipe gets gummy, sticky and is just awful to keep clean. It's really not easy to keep this flat thing sparkling for some reason, but not too hard to understand if you own one. I also have a little 'chillum' and it was hand made. Unfortunately it can be be very difficult to clean. That little thing used to be next to impossible to get showroom new, the size is no larger than a hand rolled Western-style cigar- so it's pretty small in size and therefore it gets gummed up easily.
After about fifteen minutes the aromatics of the cleaning gel begin to fill my head and burrow deeply into your nasal passages, the haunting aroma of exotic eucalyptus and freshly snipped mint, over the usual acerbic smell of industrial alcohol. This leads into a deeper aroma, slightly sweet, tangy and pure. And just glancing over at my Genius Pipe, it is no longer deep orange - to brown- to black from the left-over resin. (A really gross bi-product from smoking a highly resinous, natural plant.) This sticky substance certainly has a unique color as it deposits all over the inside of the dimpled metal and there is no sugar-coating the process. This residue can be quite challenging to clean when it hardens, and it's most like creosote in the fireplace to say the very least! This product, that pours out and back into the soft resealable bag is a richly textured, gel-like substance. The blue colored product has all the stuffing to make your life easier and as an added bonus- you can reuse the entire bag around ten times. That's brilliant! Who ever would think about inventing such a versatile and environmentally friendly product that can be reused?
The back story about the Reslution Gel is equally fascinating from a purely entrepreneurial standpoint (one that Forbes.com could wrap their hands around?), because it is the one that resonates! This story surrounds a twenty-three year old man named Dakota Wesley. Since launching his company: Resolution in 2015- he has become a cannabis entrepreneur selling into numbers that would make a Shark Tank TV series happy. 100,000 plus units into 2000, stores across fifty states including Canada, Mexico, Ireland, Netherlands, Australia, Argentina, Brazil and the Virgin Islands. His mission statement resonates also, make cannabis glassware cleaning much more simple. And make it environmentally-friendly, easy and fun.
His product is re-usable and recyclable. It is low-scent and acts as a perfect air-refresher. It is truly an innovative product that certainly should find a place in your cupboard- but don't forget it in there! This is a product that you can use nearly every day to keep your fine glassware, showroom clean. A must when doing any traveling by air with curious hands running through your carry-on or locked suitcase. Absolutely no residue means nothing to smell or get onto your fingers- like in the bad old days when cleaning meant dipping unwieldy cleaning tools into the deep nooks and crannies in your favorite glass pipe or bong. And you know what a fun job that is!
As an added benefit, cleaning and the eventual clean-up is a snap with the Reslution Gel. Just fill any glass container you have- a narrow one will work best and most efficiently for small parts, let gravity take control of the thick gel. As water seeks it's own level, the thick gel will settle into deep cleaning mode very quickly, thickly coating the most hidden crevasses of your parts and pipes. The company does not recommend that you use this gel to clean plastic parts, nor silicone pipes- use salt, rice and water for those soft parts, certainly use your common sense on this one. The jury is out on the best method to clean those types of soft tools. But for cleaning your intricate parts and even your cannabis pipes made of glass, metal and even stone there is no product on the market that approaches the safety for the environment and care for your expensive rigs and parts like the Reslution Gel. This product is truly the solution to your messy and quite frankly, gross resin cleaning ordeal!
Reslution Gel has certainly exceeded any expectations for a product that works with absolutely minimal effort. Not owning a glass rig, nor a bong, I was unable to test this gel under those normally grueling conditions. But the gel was well tested in my limited scope- on a deeply gunk encrusted Genius Pipe and on an OG Chillum. Now they are both gleaming and bright like the day they were purchased.
It was a pleasure to use on my own tools and to know that using this product is environmentally safe- a HUGE PLUS in my book of doing right by the universe and the environment.
