In reality, the final appearance and performance of a CNC machined component can change dramatically depending on the finishing process used. Two parts may come off the same machine with identical dimensions, yet look and feel completely different after surface treatment. Even more importantly, some finishing methods can slightly affect dimensions, surface roughness, wear resistance, and coating adhesion.
