Project Introduction

The project aims to customize adapter pipes for German customers' new heating equipment to meet the pipe connection needs of their equipment in different application scenarios. The customer requires the pipes to not only have good functionality, but also meet Germany's strict industrial standards and environmental protection requirements.

At the beginning of the project, the customer provided detailed equipment interface parameters and usage environment requirements. Our technical team had in-depth communication with the customer and discussed the design plan together to ensure that the design of the adapter pipes can perfectly adapt to the customer's equipment. After determining the design plan, we quickly formulated a production plan and arranged a special project team to follow up to ensure that the project was completed on time and with high quality.

Project Challenges

High precision requirements

  • The dimensional accuracy requirements of adapter pipes are extremely high. Any slight deviation may cause the interface with the equipment to not fit closely, affecting the normal operation of the heating system. We need to ensure that the dimensional tolerance of each pipe is controlled within a very small range, which poses a severe challenge to the production process and equipment.

Material properties and processing difficulty

  • In order to meet the high temperature, high pressure and corrosion resistance requirements of heating equipment, customers specify special metal materials. This material has high hardness and high processing difficulty. It is prone to tool wear and poor surface quality during cutting and forming, which increases the complexity of the manufacturing process.

Strict quality standards

  • German customers have strict standards and inspection processes for product quality. They not only require pipes to meet the standards in physical properties, but also have detailed requirements for appearance quality and surface treatment. We need to establish a complete quality control system to ensure that each pipe can pass strict inspection.

Parts Manufacturing Process

Raw material procurement and inspection

  • According to customer requirements, we purchased special metal materials that meet the standards. After the raw materials arrive, they are immediately strictly inspected to ensure that the chemical composition, physical properties, etc. of the materials meet the design requirements. Only raw materials that have passed the inspection can enter the production link.

Cutting and blanking

  • Use high-precision cutting equipment to cut and blank the raw materials according to the designed dimensions. During the cutting process, by optimizing the cutting parameters and tool selection, the flatness and verticality of the cutting surface are ensured, providing a good foundation for subsequent processing.

Machining

  • Use advanced CNC machining centers to perform precision machining on the cut blanks. By writing precise machining programs, controlling the tool path and cutting parameters, precise machining of various parts of the pipe fittings is achieved. During the machining process, the key dimensions are measured and adjusted in real time to ensure that the dimensional accuracy meets the requirements.

Forming and welding

  • For some parts that require special shapes, the forming process is used for processing. After forming, the various connecting parts of the pipe fittings are welded. During the welding process, professional welding equipment and processes are used to ensure the quality and strength of the welding, while ensuring that the appearance of the weld is flat and defect-free.

Surface treatment

  • Surface treatment is performed on the processed pipe fittings, including grinding, polishing, anti-corrosion coating and other processes. Grinding and polishing can improve the surface finish of the pipe fittings and reduce fluid resistance; anti-corrosion coating enhances the corrosion resistance of the pipe fittings and prolongs the service life.

Quality inspection

  • Multiple quality inspection processes have been established, and strict inspections are carried out at every link from raw materials to finished products. Advanced testing equipment, such as three-coordinate measuring instruments and non-destructive flaw detectors, are used to conduct comprehensive inspections on the dimensional accuracy, shape tolerance, welding quality, etc. of the pipe fittings.
